Abstract

On January 16, 2026, the conference "5th Meeting of Young Scholars - Person and Administration. Itineraries in Administrative Law" was held at the Pegaso University headquarters in Rome, in Piazza Santi Apostoli, promoted by the journal P.A. Person and Administration. This initiative, now a regular fixture in the journal's academic program, continues to represent a privileged opportunity to promote and evaluate the research of young scholars.
Over the years, the conference has experienced significant growth, based not only on the exchange of ideas but also on dialogue between generations. This evolution demonstrates, on the one hand, the emergence of an increasingly diverse pluralism of approaches and sensibilities; on the other, the consolidation of a scientific community capable of renewing and expanding, laying solid foundations for the future of the discipline.
The fifth edition confirms the deep-rooted commitment of the Journal's contributors to the training program and, at the same time, the growth of an increasingly cohesive, engaged, and rigorous group of young researchers, enriched by new talents and perspectives. This core group was joined by an audience of numerous other young scholars, whose presence testifies to the growing interest in the topics addressed and consolidates a truly intergenerational scientific community.
Continuing with previous editions, the conference hosted presentations by young administrative law scholars, offering a valuable opportunity to continue the scholarly dialogue with the Journal's members in an open and diverse environment.
In a departure from the past, the conference adopted a renewed format: younger scholars were entrusted with presenting ongoing studies and research, while more senior colleagues coordinated the panels, under the careful guidance of the discussants, who were always available to listen, offer suggestions, and stimulate critical and constructive discussion.
