Abstract
Since the seminal work of Herbert Simon (1947), the administrative behaviour has been the subject of important studies and research in the economic, sociological, managerial, political, and administrative sciences. Yet, this topic has remained rather unexplored in the legal sciences where, however, there has been some significant research that has broadened knowledge on such an interesting topic to understand the functioning of the state bureaucratic machine. This article provides insightful research about the administrative behaviour in the law and economics perspective, through the analysis of a still little-explored topic: the tort liability of public officials for damage of delay.
