Abstract

L’articolo presenta i risultati di un’analisi relativa alla capacità di resilienza delle aziende italiane che operano nel settore fashion. Avendo a riferimento un campione di 37.052 società di capitali operanti nei segmenti operativi del tessile, dell’abbigliamento e della pelletteria, l’indagine esplora le principali dinamiche che hanno interessato il settore nel decennio 2009-2019, identificandone i tratti distintivi, rinvenibili in prevalenza e distribuzione geografica delle piccole e medie imprese, scelte di internazionalizzazione e andamento incrementale dei risultati economico-finanziari. Si è inoltre proceduto ad esaminare l’impatto della pandemia Covid-19 nel biennio 2019-2020, individuandone le implicazioni su performance e sviluppo di nuovi modelli di business. Complessivamente, il presente lavoro contribuisce al dibattito esistente in letteratura, mostrando la significativa  cpacità di resilienza emersa nel settore fashion durante i periodi di crisi.
