Abstract
According to this article, the jurisdictional function can be declined in terms of power - with the responsibilities that go with it - and the judgement can fully find its auctoritas, in the highest meaning of the concept, as a qualified expression of state sovereignty. It is in this latter locution, which is anything but symbolic, that statehood and hence the sovereignty of jurisdiction itself must be sought.
