Italian national interest and pandemic emergency: nihil sub sole novum

Abstract

Pandemic and Italian national interest would constitute, for intellectual honesty, two subjects abstractly in their own right: because individually they need an ad hoc deepening. Yet the study of what is currently the national interest in the Italian Republic has clearly come to intersect with the nodes of the complex legal management of the epidemiological emergency by COVID-19: from here the objective premises of investigation to offer some argumentative cues (structurally supported by a very recent decision of the constitutional jurisprudence) useful to put (duly) in light (for the jurist) that when it is reflected on the Italian national interest there is really “nothing new under the sun” Republican although revised Title V.
