Abstract
The introduction of new digitalised automation and/or robotic technologies (also based on artificial intelligence) into the working environment poses the need to apply the provisions of the European Regulation 2016/679 regarding the protection of personal data. In the absence of a national refernce framework for data protection and security in the employment relationship this investigation proposes to adopt workplace safety legislation as a reference model for assessing privacy risk.
