Abstract
The essay examines the notion of the pedagogical relationship in Gramsci’s Prison Notebooks. In this regard, the thesis is presented that the expression «Every relationship of “hegemony” is necessarily a pedagogical relationship» is to be understood metaphorically. In this way, in fact, the pedagogical relationship is freed from metaphysical conceptions to acquire a historical and concrete character. Moreover, the possibility of a dynamic and progressive approach to this relationship is linked to the notion of philosophy of praxis.
