Abstract

The essay aims to analyse the evolutionary perspectives of insurance protection against accidents at work and occupational diseases, focusing in particular on the actuality of the distinction between common and work-related events, which constitutes the foundation, not without constitutional relevance, of insurance protection. Starting from the evolutionary interpretation of the notion of injured at work, which constitutes the assumption for the intervention of insurance protection, the essay addresses the problem of the compatibility of its meaning with the de-structuring of the space-time coordinates of work performance resulting from the spread of digital technologies and, in coherence with similar mechanisms of the insurance discipline, verifies the possibility of a presumptive reinterpretation of the notion of work accident.
