Abstract
This work aims to investigate the impact of architectural and economic advances on ancient legal structures and the emergence of new professions, such as that of the insularius. Jurisprudential reflection incorporates these demands and shapes their roles and responsibilities, proposing a professional figure that, over the centuries, asserts autonomy and vigor.
