About the Journal

Tesserae iuris is a scientific periodical dedicated to Roman Law and related disciplines, specifically referring to the academic sector IUS/18, "Roman Law and Ancient Rights." The periodical is published twice a year in print format and, at the same time, made available online through its complete electronic copy in Open Access mode without restrictions or embargo period, under a Creative Commons license (CC-by 4.0), following the current best scientific practices in ethics and editorial rigor. Since its inception, the periodical has aimed to adhere to all practices of excellence and scientific integrity, with the ultimate goal of potential inclusion in category "A" based on the criteria for Research Quality Evaluation (VQR) and full indexing in the most widely recognized and authoritative online scientific databases.
