Abstract

Docente universitario a Lecce, Chieti e Roma, Pietro De Vitiis si riconosceva in una posizione filosofica definibile come “Destra heideggeriana”, annoverando in questa compagine coloro che interpretano la filosofia di M. Heidegger a partire dalla Vollendung des deutschen Idealismus, per usare il titolo di un saggio su F. Schelling, vale a dire dal compimento del pensiero speculativo dell’Idealismo tedesco. Il suo interesse per il problema religioso si è mosso proprio verso una possibile rilettura del rapporto agonistico tra filosofia negativa e positiva proprio del pensiero schellinghiano, letto alla luce della critica all’ontoteologia da parte di Heidegger. In tal senso egli valorizza particolarmente la filosofia della religione di B. Welte, il teologo friburghese che cercò un raccordo tra il nulla heideggeriano e il mistero assoluto, al centro del fenomeno religioso.

University professor in Lecce, Chieti, and Rome, Pietro De Vitiis identified with a philosophical position definable as ‘Heideggerian Right,’ including among this group those who interpret the philosophy of M. Heidegger starting from the Vollendung des deutschen Idealismus, to use the title of an essay on F. Schelling, i.e. from the completion of the speculative thought of German Idealism. Thus, his interest in the religious problem has moved towards a possible reinterpretation of the agonistic relationship between negative and positive philosophy characteristic of Schelling’s thought, read in light of Heidegger’s critique of onto-theology. In this sense, he particularly values the philosophy of religion of B. Welte, the Freiburg theologian who sought a connection between Heidegger's nothingness and the absolute mystery at the centre of the religious phenomenon.
